Ozanam recently traveled to Uganda on behalf of a biotech client. While there, over the course of just four days and traveling on two days’ notice, our team of five researchers were able to gather data on nearly 300 subjects, both medical providers and mothers. We gathered data related to preeclampsia - high blood pressure during pregnancy - and in the following categories: demographic, financial, medical, sociological, biological, and cultural.
In total, we were able to gather more than 10,000 data points. The vast majority of the patients we were able to access had never had data – any kind of data – collected. We now possess primary source data that no one else has.
We want to share this one-of-a-kind data with the world. You can find it in the spreadsheets below, along with some visualizations. We have also included medical providers and patient profiles we developed using the data and through primary source interviews conducted by the Ozanam team.
Please contact us with any questions about the data. We hope you use it to Do Good Better.
